THE JAMES BIRMINGHAM
Richmond House is to be transformed into 152 rented co-living homes along with a new rooftop extension, with the building set to be known as ‘The James’.
The James, from the Azouz family, will inject new life into the site, providing a unique and well-balanced combination of spacious studios and multiple social areas, including co-working spaces, lounges, communal dining areas, and podcast, cinema and games rooms.
With a back garden at ground level and various terraces for dining and keeping fit, there will also be a new two-storey rooftop extension at its peak, providing space for all.
There will also be 76 double bike stands (152 & 100% provision), with an additional 14 within a secure bike store & six Sheffield stands on the street.
The co-living units aim to embrace all demographics including post-graduates, young professionals, to downsizers by offering flexibility for shorter stays (e.g., 3-6 months) as well as longer stays (e.g., 1 year+).
