FreeTimePays - Terms and Conditions of use



By ‘Community’ or ‘Community of Passion’ we refer to any group of people and/or organisations who share a common interest, whether geographic or by subject.

By ‘Member’ we refer to individuals who register with FreeTimePays who are issued with a Community Passport and can take advantage of other FreeTimePays products and services.

By ‘Contributor’ we refer to a FreeTimePays member who has additional rights and access to submit content.

By ‘Community Passport’ we refer to the logged in space of an individual member.

By ‘Community Workspace’ we refer to the logged in space of a member who takes up the opportunity to contribute content. 

By ‘My Page’ we refer to a personal space where a contributor can showcase themselves, their contributions, gallery and additional links and resources.

By ‘Passion Points’ we refer to the gamification run by FreeTimePays as recognition for the contributions and involvement of members. 


By registering for a FreeTimePays Community Passport, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

We therefore politely ask that you read though our conditions of use.

By agreeing to our terms, you accept that your details can be held on file for the purpose of contacting you. Where you openly share your details with other members, you accept that they can also contact you.

If you accept these terms on behalf of a company, organisation, government or local government department, or other legal entity, you accept that you are authorised to do so.

By agreeing to these terms you accept that you are 16 years of age or over. Individuals under 16 years of age will only be allowed access to a FreeTimePays Community with the consent of a registered member who is a parent or guardian or is doing so as part of a supervised activity with a school or governing body. In these cases, personal information must not be provided.

Terms and conditions of use for invited members and contributors

With a Community Passport, members can interact with other members and can exchange content and views with other members. This may be through surveys, through views expressed in discussions, through chat or through posts and content that is shared by members.

Members as contributors of content are also invited to run their own personal ‘My Page’. Content displayed on a ‘My Page’ is the sole responsibility of that particular member. Any member who takes up this service does so at their own risk and FreeTimePays and its developers People Matters Network take no responsibility for the content displayed on members ‘My Page’.  

Members should be mindful that content and views expressed on FreeTimePays and within a ‘Community’ will be seen by others.

Anonymity is very much for the member to protect and FreeTimePays and the owners, People Matters Network Limited, will not be liable and responsible for maintaining anonymity through content that is posted by members. This includes images and profiles displayed on a member’s individual Community Passport.  This content remains the responsibility of the member.

Copyright infringements or content deemed to be inappropriate should be reported to FreeTimePays. Contact us here.

FreeTimePays and the owners, People Matters Network, reserves the right to remove content that is in violation of the user agreement. Members and non members are encouraged to report possible violations of any form. Contact us here.

As a members, you should ensure that :

Information given about yourself is correct and that you alone can receive and read emails sent to the email address you supply.

You take full responsibility for any content you store on the platform or that you post.

Other people are not be able to use your account.

You inform the administrators if you become aware of anyone who breaks these rules.

Responsibility and liability

FreeTimePays and People Matters Network Limited will not be liable for the authenticity, accuracy or ownership of content submitted by members that appears on the FreeTimePays platform.

You acknowledge, consent and agree that the administrators of FreeTimePays may access, preserve and disclose your account information and content if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such access, preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with legal process
  • Enforce the rules
  • Respond to claims that any content violates the rights of third parties
  • Respond to your requests for customer service; or protect the rights, property or personal safety of any other member

FreeTimePays and People Matters Network Limited will not be responsible or liable for any loss, corruption, damage or disruption to your computer system (including data, software, operating system and hardware) if occured whilst using the site or materials downloaded from it.

Web links are used on FreeTimePays sites and throughout the platform. 

FreeTimePays and People Matters Network do not endorse the sites we link to; are not responsible for their content or liable for anything that happens to you if you use them; not responsible for anything on the site it links to.

Further rules and guidelines for members who submit content for publication, express views and participate in discussions:

Members who submit content for inclusion on the platform, express views or participate in discussions take full responsibility for the content submitted and the views expressed.

Members who submit content will do so with the full knowledge that the content will be seen by other members and that content can be published across the FreeTimePays communities.

Unless stated otherwise, members, as the owner of the copyright for the content submitted give permission for FreeTimePays to publish content that is submitted on any FreeTimePays community website and/or associated social media platforms that are managed by FreeTimePays or People Matters Network.

Members are personally responsible for ensuring that content stored that they do not wish to be made public is recorded as such in order to ensure privacy and confidentiality.

Those members of the community who wish to join and participate in one of the many discussions or chats open to community members will do so with the full knowledge that the views they express will be shared with other participants.

Participants of discussions and contributors of content are politely asked to respect all other members.

Some guidelines for contributors:

Please keep comments and content relevant to the topic.

Be courteous and endeavour to keep any submission objective and factual.

Do not submit defamatory comments or images (i.e. comments or images that are untrue and capable of damaging the reputation of a person or an organisation).

Do not condone illegal activity or incite people to commit any crime, including incitement of racial hatred.

Do not submit comments that could prejudice on-going or forthcoming court proceedings (contempt of court) or break a court injunction.

Do not submit content that contains someone else’s copyright material.

Do not swear or use language that could offend other participants.

Do not otherwise submit comments or content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually orientated or racially offensive. This includes comments and content that is offensive to others with regards to religion, gender, nationality or other personal characteristic.

Do not impersonate other members or falsely claim to represent a person or an organisation.

Do not add inappropriate references (vulgar, offensive etc.).


Rights of contributors

Members who contribute content retain ownership over the content they post.

Our aim at FreeTimePays is to achieve maximum exposure for members who decide to post content on the FreeTimePays platform.

In order to achieve digital exposure to content posted, all contributors grant FreeTimePays a non-exclusive, royalty-free license (inclusive of the right to sublicense) to digitally share, publish, reproduce, use, adapt, copy, distribute and display content they post on media associated with any FreeTimePays Community and on any community web site managed by FreeTimePays.

FreeTimePays and People Matters Network will ensure that all content shared and displayed is supported with the contributors’ copyright as proof of ownership. 

The contributor also allows FreeTimePays to make content submitted available to support any campaign run by and run for a FreeTimePays Community and/or a campaign run by FreeTimePays or any associated partner or advertiser.   

Further use of that content outside of a FreeTimePays Community will be by way of a separate agreement with the Contributor.

Contributors agree to these uses with no guarantee of compensation in relation to the content posted by a contributor that is published by any FreeTimePays Community and used in or referenced by any FreeTimePays campaign. 

Any agreement reached to financially compensate or reward the Contributor will be outside of this User agreement and will be a matter for FreeTimePays, People Matters Network Limited, a partner, sponsor or advertiser to agree with the Contributor.

In this respect, the member as a contributor is referred to the Community Matchmaker services provided by FreeTimePays or by its parthers.  FreeTimePays and People Matters Network will not be held liable or responsible for any actions or outcomes as a result of a member taking up support or advice provided by FreeTimePays, People Matters Network, a partner or any organisation or individual providing a Community Matchmaker service.

Passion Points

Passion Points is FreeTimePays gamification and recognises members and contributors for their involvement and contribution.

The nature of Passion Points and any prizes, awards or offers association with Passion Points will be announced as considered appropriate.

Any decision to award points in recognition of submissions and contributions (in whatever form this may take) is the sole responsibility of FreeTimePays, the owners People Matters Network Limited, partners of FreeTimePays, sponsors of campaigns and advertisers.

Any decision to run prize draws or offers and recognise the contributions of members through the award of prizes, awards, offers and points will be taken by FreeTimePays, the owners People Matters Network Limited, partners of FreeTimePays, sponsors of campaigns and advertisers.

People Matters Network (PMNet) oversees activities and reserves the right to:

Respond to all violations of rules or local laws in any way needed, including removing content and reporting any misuse to any appropriate authority.

Close the account of any member that repeatedly breaks the terms of use.

Change or amend the rules of use without prior notice.


Additional terms & conditions for:

Community Workspace users (including Approvers and Publishers)

These additional terms and conditions apply to those people who sign in and register for workspace access. This includes those who take on a license or use the platform in the capacity of an Approver or a Publisher.

Confidentiality and Security Agreement

FreeTimePays and People Matters Network take the security and confidentiality of its software, its software users, data and all information held within the software extremely seriously. Users must treat information and any data contained within or extracted from this site as confidential.

Information and data may only be disclosed if authorised by the owner(s) of the Workspace project or if stated as "public". At all times you must preserve the confidentiality of, and not attempt to identify, individuals, households or organisations in the data. If information or data is taken or downloaded from the site, you must ensure that all data confidentiality is maintained and that the information is stored in a physically and electronically secure condition.

All data held on the site is provided without warranty or liability of any kind and all responsibility for accuracy in its use is taken by the Workspace user(s). FreeTimePays and People Matters Network will not accept any liability of any kind for any use or consequences of use of the data.

You must comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the 2018 General Data Protection regulations as well as all other applicable codes of practice and security measures appropriate to you, your business and/or organisation.

You may not modify or copy the software. You may not disassemble, decompile or reverse engineer the software, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the software. You shall retain all copyright information and propriety notices found on the software and documentation provided by FreeTimePays and People Matters Network Limited.

You agree to protect the confidentiality of the software, the licence being for you or nominated individuals or organisations only as agreed with FreeTimePays and People Matters Network. You agree not to translate or to prepare derivative works of the software and to take reasonable steps to prevent others from so doing.

FreeTimePays and People Matters Network uses all reasonable efforts to ensure that the content of the site is accurate and up to date and that the site and tools are available 24 hours per day. However, the material or data may contain inaccuracies or typographical errors, and FreeTimePays and People Matters Network make no representations about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of the material, software or links.

Changes are periodically made to the website and may be made at any time. The site may be unavailable or access may be interrupted from time to time owing to technical failure.

In no event will FreeTimePays and People Matters Network be liable to you for any loss of profits, revenue, contracts, business, anticipated savings, data, or for any incidental or consequential damage to your organisation, goodwill or reputation, for any lost opportunities or for any special, indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter.

By logging into this site for the first time, you are agreeing to use this software and any information contained within this site within the terms of this Confidentiality and Security Agreement.

Breach of these terms and conditions will lead to immediate and future termination of access to the software and data and could result in legal action against you.
